Launch Control

This is a clutch activated rev limit, using a clutch switch positioned above the clutch pedal. When the vehicle is stationary and your foot is on the clutch the rev limit is lowered, usually to 2500 - 4500 rpm.  This is useful for consistent launches when drag racing.

• The launch RPM is set in only a few seconds while the car is running. See from these videos (500 KB and 1.6 MB) how easy it is.

• As of 3/1/05 all s200's will include the 3-step option at no additional charge.  However the user will have to locate a clutch switch from a store like Autozone.  The part number is JA413 for a Wells stoplight switch.
